The Watschke's were our neighbors at Wind Lake and are the only family that still owns their property.    The cottage was torn down in the fall of 2023, replaced with a lovely modern house.    I still try to visit once a year to catch up on news, share some memories, and sometimes take a kayak ride to the lily pond.   If we sit with our backs to the 3 story houses, it looks like the same place we grew up.
