The Wind Lake cottage was set at the bottom of a 8-10 ft rise. The garage and road were above the house, so this window looks up at the parking area. And of course, when we were older and went out to the movies or whatever, mom and dad would leave the light on for us.
And, well, it was also the light to the loo.
